The Robert P. Knight Multicultural Recruitment Award is named for Robert P. Knight, a professor in the University of Missouri School of Journalism. He was the director of the Missouri Interscholastic Press Association from 1965 until his death in 1992. He received the first Knight Multicultural award in 1990.
The award recipient will be chosen by an independent selection committee of the AEJMC Scholastic Journalism Division members, and the award will be presented at the AEJMC annual convention in Washington, D.C., Aug. 8-11, 2013.
