CSW Networking Luncheon in St. Louis

Here is a great opportunity for professors, graduate students, scholars and others interested in research and advocacy for women in media. If you are going to the AEJMC conference in St. Louis in August, you certainly should make this part of your schedule:

Please don’t forget to sign up for the CSW Networking Luncheon in St. Louis. You can sign up and pay the $20 fee when you register for the AEJMC Conference. The fee will help offset the cost of providing a full lunch to attendees. (I’ve seen the menu, and the food looks yummy.)

The Networking Luncheon is 11:45 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 12, 2011. It’s a great opportunity to meet and talk with women and men from all ranks of the academy. *Graduate students are welcome!*

From last year’s conference: Fifty scholars attended the first networking lunch during the 2010 AEJMC Convention. Stacey Hust, incoming chair of CSW, said, “There are not too many events at the convention that specifically promote networking. I know a number of assistant professors who left the lunch with the e-mail address of at least one, if not two, senior faculty who are interested in helping them succeed in the academy.”

See you there! Please pass this invitation along to other interested women.
